October weddings will always have my heart. There’s something about that in‑between season—the cooler air, the softer light, the way everything feels a little more grounded. Savannah and Dilon’s wedding captured that feeling perfectly at Fort Worth Country Memories. From the very beginning, their day felt intentional, honest, and completely true to who they are.
One of my favorite moments from the day is also one of the boldest images. Savannah and Dilon stood together, faces hidden behind deer skulls crowned with antlers. It wasn’t done for shock value—it felt symbolic. Strong. A quiet nod to nature, resilience, and stepping into marriage without pretending to be anything other than themselves. It immediately set the tone for the rest of the day.
Inside the reception space, the mood softened while still holding onto its edge. Warm wood walls, a glowing crystal chandelier, and candlelight created an atmosphere that felt intimate and romantic without being overly polished. The details were thoughtful but never fussy. The cake table blended clean whites with organic textures—antlers, moody fall florals, and subtle rustic elements that tied everything together beautifully.
When we stepped outside for portraits, October showed up in the best way. Clear blue skies, crisp air, and light that wrapped around them instead of overpowering the scene. Savannah’s gown moved effortlessly, her veil catching just enough breeze to add softness and motion. Dilon’s look—jacket, denim, and cowboy hat—felt confident and genuine. Nothing forced. Nothing out of place.
What stood out most throughout the day was how comfortable they were together. No performing. No rushing moments.
